A Japanese Sake Tasting & Handbuilt Sake Mug Workshop
(Kanpai & Clay – Sakeprovning, ostprovning & keramikworkshop)
What happens when Japanese sake meets Swedish cheese? 🧀 or any CHEESE?
Join us for an afternoon of unexpected flavours, good company and a little clay therapy. At Urban Artists Sthlm, we’ll explore the fascinating world of sake and cheese pairing, inspired by a growing food trend in Japan, where sake lovers and cheese enthusiasts are discovering just how beautifully these two worlds can come together.
Think delicate rice aromas, rich umami, creamy textures and surprising flavour combinations. Sake isn’t just for sushi! Its natural umami, acidity and subtle sweetness can complement everything from fresh and mild cheeses to aged, bold varieties.
For this special edition, we’ll bring a thoughtfully curated selection of cheeses to the table, paired with Japanese sake.
A unique pairing experience bringing Japanese drinking culture and craft together in one cosy afternoon.
And because every good tasting deserves a handmade vessel, you’ll also get to create your very own sake mug from clay.
No pottery experience needed. Just curiosity, an open mind and an appetite for discovery.
Wednesday, 9 December | 17:30–20.00
